Why do I need to input a phone number when placing an order?

Sometimes, we have questions related to the phone number input accuracy or lack of. Cloudprinter.com advises that platform users add their client's phone numbers in the shipping details.

When you place an order online and our network partners want to ship it to your customer, they use a third-party shipping carrier like FedEx or UPS to deliver the package to the address provided in the shipping details. These shipping carriers need a way to contact your customer if they have trouble delivering the package. For example, if the delivery person can't find your customer's location or if there's no one there to receive the package, they might need to call and ask for directions or schedule a new delivery time.

That's why we advise our platform users to add a phone number to the order – so they can give it to the shipping carrier and ensure that your package arrives at the given shipping address without any issues. It's all about making the delivery process as smooth and hassle-free as possible for you!

Cloudprinter.com operates globally, and phone number formats can vary by country. Some customers may not have a phone number in the format that Cloudprinter.com requires.

Take a look at an example of how to input phone numbers correctly : 

if you're giving someone in another country your Danish phone number, you'll need to put it in the international format. That means taking away the first number (usually a "0") and adding the Danish country code, which is "+45". For example, if your number is "028832333", in the international format it would be "+4528832333".

Oh, and don't forget to add the international call prefix before the country code! In Denmark, the prefix is "00", so you'd need to put "0045" before your number to make sure the call gets routed correctly.

Just remember that all the characters in the phone number should be numbers, and don't worry about spaces, dashes, or parentheses – those will be automatically removed.
